Visit

We had Three's Brother, A, visit for the weekend.  

In October he turned eighteen, and, recently, he decided to leave the system and California.  So we hurriedly tried to get a visit together before he moved out of area.

What normally takes seventeen phone calls to complete, took a miraculous three.  Which was good because we had less than twenty-four hours notice and we needed a quick response time.    

It is surreal to me to think that he is moving so far away and with (in my mind) so little preparation.  But, he is an adult.  So we did our best to get him ready for the move.  And I know his CASA is working with him on the other side to prepare him with all the legal work and system paperwork.
