Throwback

This is the last of the throwback photos that I will share from the package I got.

My baby sister, L, sitting on my first car.  She was soooo cute!

My only older sister in the entire world.  S is one year older and so I was always the younger tag-along sister.

Fun fact about this chair.  It spun.  So my sisters and I would take turns riding or pushing it around in circles until the rider got extremely dizzy.  It was a very entertaining chair.

Me.  As a cute little brunette.  (Although my hair was lighter here than normal due to the sun.)  And this was pre-braces.  Thank the heavens for the miracle of braces.

And I find this to be an interesting shot because A is clearly dressed like a tomboy and E is crafting.  Some things never change...

(Fun fact.  E is wearing a homemade dress.)

I like this shot of S.

And this shot makes me dead envious.  My sister has natural red hair (strawberry-blonde).  And, as an adult, she blondes it out!  Not that she doesn't look great as a blonde...she does.  But who gets rid of beautiful red hair?!  I am very red hair covetous.

Me.  On a horse.  We used to go on horseback rides for group activities with our friends.  $20 for a couple of hours.  Wonder what it would cost now.

Me.  Clearly leaving work to go hang out with friends.  I loved that bag.  And that necklace.  Sigh.

E.  With a check for something.  Whatever it was, I like this shot of her.  She's beautiful.  And that is her natural hair color.  Yes.  Even though she goes way red now, she has some actual red to back it up with.  Me...uh...not so much.

My junior prom dress.  I loved this dress.  It was lent to my mom sight unseen and it ended up fitting perfectly.  The shoes went away long ago, but I still have this necklace.

S and I went together with some guy friends.
At the time I was sad that my hair was too short for a prom up do.  Now I look back and love the curls I came up with.

My senior prom dress.  I called this my mermaid dress.  To keep it modest I had a little black shrug.

Growing up, we had a dollhouse with tiny furniture and fixtures.  This is a picture of the dollhouse after the 1994 Northridge earthquake.

We were a short way from the epicenter.  A freeway fell down, we had no water for a full week, and my high school gym was razed to the ground due to damage and asbestos.  So I had gym for three years in a giant tent that looked like a silver hershey's kiss.

Let's play the game "One of these does not look like the others..."

And again...

If I had to guess why A is so ticked, it is because she was forced to wear a dress to S's graduation.  And I seem to be rubbing it in.

On another note...is your drink big enough A?

Me and my boyfriend, Mr. Isaak.  Ok.  M old dream boyfriend.  (And for the record this picture was taken before I started dating Husband.)  I've seen him in concert many times.  He rocks it every show.

Playing dress up with a non-girly sister.

Who eventually did this.  Hahahaha!

A on one of our ice blocking trips.

My boys really want to go.  I have no problem with that.  Except that ice blocks are harder to buy now than they were 15-20 years ago.  And finding a nice grassy hill that is private property and will give permission is harder too.

I won't say where this was.  But let's just say that it was a great hill that we used many times.

E and A.  Visiting me at college.

E and me.

I really miss that sweater.  It was so specific that I didn't wear it a lot and I am sure that it probably would not fit me right now but...still miss it.

And for the other snappy dresser, E, she is wearing a great skirt.  Seriously cute.

Probably one of the only pictures that exists of me and the eyebrow ring.  If you look closely, you can see a tiny hint of it nearest E.  It was the only thing remotely rebellious that I did.  And I got permission before I did it.  So...rebel fail.

Husband and Me.  When we were dating.  This was at my grandpa's retirement party at Benihanas.

And this is me looking kind of scary.  Seriously...what is up with my hand?

Me and some of my sisters.  I believe we were celebrating my 19th birthday.  Or possibly 18th.

Husband and Me.  About an hour after we got married.

And that was the tour of the old pics.

As I was putting this together, two of my sons, came in and told me that I looked weird.  They were referring to the pics of me and sisters.  "What do you mean?" I asked.  "You don't match them," they explained.  Huh.  So I am not the only one to see it.
